“I start to form a sculpture from for example synthetic material or clay, led by thoughts, associations and emotions. What do I see in this form, what kind of feeling does it give me, what's the thing a want to tell with this? And do I really want to make this specifically ? I give 'a skin' of a different material to the originated view. In the contrary of the spontaneity at the or beginning of the working process, at this moment I work very structurally. Many weeks I make myself cut, glue and stitch in a same matter, like for example: "all shapes in the same rhythm" or "all lines have to go continually". In this way I want to create statues that call up emotions, with an alienated, sensual, tough and vulnerable character.”
