These delicate pencil drawings are inspired by trees.
A tree is studied and photographed. The pictures are scanned for promising details. Then a section of the picture is selected for its peculiar shape, a special structure and/or the light effects. The pencil drawing based on these details is so highly refined, that the observer will experience an alienating effect. The details of a tree, branch or its bark have become a magic world of their own.
